STILL MOVING & SHAKING!
Greetings Friends,
July marks the fourth month of opening our doors for food, drinks, and music!
Our space continues to evolve, and on our "days off," we are focused on honing in our ideas, cultivating and planning upcoming phases, designing and creating spaces, and working towards getting more of our projects farther along. We are humbled and grateful for all the help and volunteers who continue to offer their amazing support.
Our wood-fired pizza is our main staple and people love to watch Jeff and Lawrence work the magic of the horno. We are excited to add salads to our menu with greens and produce from Frisco Farms, as well as delicious desserts from Tin Cat Bakery.

The Plant Nursery has a revolving offering of trees, perennials, native plants, and organic soils. The desert willows are blooming, and the scent of the blossoms has been exhilarating, while the flurry of butterflies, birds, and critters has been keeping us all entertained. We had a great presentation about bats and agaves and would like to thank the Native Plant Society for helping us to facilitate that event. Be on the lookout for more workshops to come.
The wind has been a lot to contend with, but we are hoping the monsoons are not far behind! It’s been fun watching people play cornhole and horseshoes. And thanks to a generous donation, ping-pong is now an option, as well.

The Music Venue side of WCZ continues to be at the forefront of our endeavor. We have had some amazing shows, great audiences, and we remain committed to showcasing music as a focal point. We want to thank everyone who has come out and helped us to switch gears on music nights with everything from hip-hop, to singer-songwriters, punk rock to rhythm & blues.
